Amarr’s Classica line uses heavier-gauge steel panels than the Stratford, so a Stratford spring rated for the same door dimensions will be under-spec’d for a Classica. We see this mismatch after handymen or less experienced outfits swap in a spring that “looks right.” It opens the door, but the cycle life drops by half and the opener works harder than it should.
